There are many different funeral traditions around the world, each as important as the others to the communities in which they have evolved. For many people of Afro-Caribbean heritage, Nine Night is a vital part of the celebration of a loved one’s life. Services tend to be longer than expected by ministers and priests unfamiliar with our ways. Families tend to gather from all corners of the globe. The music, the food – all those elements are so important to make a funeral a personal commemoration rather than an off-the-shelf ceremony and day.
At Integrity Funeral Care we don’t want you to feel like you have to compromise on any of these things. Catering and venue? We can sort those out. A church with an understanding minister? Those too. Travel arrangements and accommodation for relatives coming from abroad? Leave it to us. Family and friends getting together to commemorate the departed, be it virtually or face-to-face? Not a problem; we can even host your online get together if that makes it easier for you.
We will listen to you, understand you and do everything in our power to help you.
